Purple Fountain Grass is an ornamental grass that has outstanding purple foliage. It produces rose-red flower spikes from Summer through Fall which do not reseed. Purple Fountain Grass can bring quick annual color to any landscape. When planting this grass, dig the hole twice as wide as the pot and mix rich garden soil in with your native soil, then leave the top of the root ball 1/2 inch above the ground level when filling the hole with soil. Use a slow-release granular fertilizer in Spring.
