The mattress support uses flexible slats that follow the curves of the body and absorb pressure for maximum comfort. The Queen Murphy bed can be used every night for a good night's sleep. The bed folds up and down smoothly within seconds. The wall bed accommodates most standard Queen mattresses (8-12 inches thick, 60-90 lb, 60 x 80 inches) and supports up to 1000 lb (including mattress). The open bed extends 92 inches from the wall. The cabinet must be anchored to a wall with a minimum ceiling height of 93.8 inches. Allow a clearance of 30-36 inches around the open bed. Both Closet Organizers come with 2 fixed and 4 adjustable shelves to hold your belongings. The dual-mount wall bed mechanism attaches to the floor and wall for ease of assembly and maximum stability and durability. To avoid risk of injury, the Murphy bed must be installed to wall and floor structure by a professional or qualified person. Two people are required for assembly. Installation requires attachment to wood studs or masonry, removal of the baseboard, and drilling into the floor (if disassembly is required, holes may be covered with baseboards 0.5 inches or thicker).
